Night Vision Goggles - NVG

Train your NVG missions in Loft Dynamics Simulators

Flying at night is challenging, especially during missions in difficult weather conditions. The virtual reality (VR) technologie is ideally suited for simulating the use of night vision goggles (NVGs) in qualified flight simulation training devices (FSTDs). Pilots can now realistically learn and practice NVG operations in our Airbus H125 VR FSTD.

    Recreated usability

Loft Dynamics has developed a system that allows pilots to use night vision technology as they would in real-life operations. A mechanism attached to the head-mounted display enables pilots to move the night vision goggles up and down, just like operating real equipment. The restricted field of view while wearing the goggles provides an authentic experience of flying with NVGs, allowing for lifelike practice in night operations.

The VR approach is the only XR technology that allows for the simulation of night vision goggles. This feature enables pilots to practice demanding night operations while benefiting from all the advantages of our simulators.

    Intuitive and natural operation

Pilots benefit from a highly realistic simulation of both the external environment and the cockpit view, enabling them to operate cockpit controls naturally and intuitively as well at night. With Loft Dynamics' FSTDs, you can safely practice demanding night missions through scenario-based training, improving your flight safety.
