Loft Dynamics unveils first-ever VR Airbus H145 simulator at Verticon in Dallas
Our team was in Dallas from March 11-13 for Verticon, where we announced the arrival of our long-anticipated Airbus H145 VR simulator. The introduction of the first-ever VR simulator for this versatile and widely-used rotorcraft will enable pilots and diverse operators around the world to train more realistically, efficiently, and safely.
We had two simulators at this year’s Verticon, and our booth was buzzing with activity every day. Beyond the daily demonstrations of innovative new features like LofTWIN virtual demo mode, we also showcased advanced scenario-based training with an exhibition from LAPD Chief Pilot Kevin Gallagher.

Boston MedFlight among the first customers for our new H145 simulator
Loft Dynamics hosted a signing ceremony at Verticon with Boston MedFlight, which will be among the first to acquire the H145 simulator. Boston MedFlight is the largest critical care transport provider in the northeastern United States, and the organization will use the H145 simulator for hyper-realistic mission-specific training.
EMS pilots must be prepared for dangerous, high-pressure scenarios—from landing at accident scenes on highways to navigating congested airspace against the clock. The H145 simulator enables pilots to safely and regularly practice for these real-world scenarios with unprecedented realism.

LAPD using Loft Dynamics’ revolutionary VR technology to train pilots
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Air Support Division has become the first law enforcement agency in the U.S. to adopt VR for pilot training. LAPD recently installed our VR H125 simulator, which pilots are using to train for the unique demands of airborne law enforcement.
The simulator enables pilots to realistically and safely train difficult and dangerous scenarios ranging from low-speed and low-altitude chases to night vision operations. LAPD Chief Pilot Kevin Gallagher has designed a structured VR-centric training curriculum, and he explains that the Loft Dynamics simulator is “revolutionizing the way we train.”
